I backup servers to remote server with rsync.

To run rsync backup as cronjob, you need to ser rsa key login from server1 (server to be backed up) to server2 (backup server).

First you need to check if public key for the server is available.

cat /root/.ssh/id_rsa.pub

if not available create the file with

ssh-keygen -t rsa

Press enter for everything it ask.

Now login to server2 (backup server) edit the file /root/.ssh/authorized_keys

vi /root/.ssh/authorized_keys

In the file add content of /root/.ssh/id_rsa.pub from server1.

This will allow password less login from server1 to backup server.
