freebsd alias

Jump to: navigation, search

la == ls -a

Because on FreeBSD la is set as an alias to "ls -a"

Type 'alias' at your shell prompt. You probably have something like this:

alias la='ls -la'

Here is what i get on a FreeBSD server.

server26# alias
h       (history 25)
j       (jobs -l)
la      (ls -a)
lf      (ls -FA)
ll      (ls -lA)
